This workshop cultivates an EMBODIED understanding of the harm that racism does to us all, and the freedom we would collectively experience from undoing it.
Q: Why are we doing this?
A: As a Black women–led organization, centering BIPOC communities is not a statement—it is our daily practice. When you choose to dance at DG, you are choosing to align with the active work of undoing the internalized racism carried in our bodies and reinforced by systems that continue to harm BIPOC communities.
We extend deep gratitude to the PISAB for grounding us in the work of Undoing Racism and for showing us what that commitment truly requires. Healing is not passive. It is practiced.
We practice healing through movement. We practice healing through redistributing resources. We practice healing by investing in spaces, people, and businesses that are committed to equity, liberation, and collective care.
Healing happens together over time, with intention, and in community.
Thank you for choosing to be part of how we heal.
