Dancing Grounds Summer
Dancing Grounds Summer (DGS) is a four-week camp for beginner and intermediate dancers entering 3rd through 8th grade. The 2017 session will include training in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Hip Hop, African, dance composition, physical fitness and nutrition. Campers will improve their dance technique while learning exciting choreography with DG youth faculty and guest instructors. DGS will culminate in a week-long performance tour to other youth camps in the area (June 26-29) and a final showcase (June 30).
All families are required to complete registration in-person at Dancing Grounds (3705 St. Claude Ave. NOLA 70117). This allows us to get to know you and your child and build a personal relationship, which is very important to us. Completing registration takes about 30 minutes and includes:
- Completing all required paperwork
- Paying a $25 registration fee
- Reviewing expectations for campers - a typical camp day, dance attire, swim trips, performances
- Discussing payment and scholarship options with a DG staff member
Your child is welcome to come with you to this meeting.
