Catherine Caldwell is a member of the Dance and Musical Theatre faculty at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) and previously taught at Kelly’s School of Dance for nine years. She is also a teacher with Dancing Grounds Rising’s KIPP Renaissance Early College Academy program. Catherine holds a M.A. in Arts Administration from the University of New Orleans.
Catherine is a local New Orleanian who began her dance training with Deirdre’s School of Dance, Kelly’s School of Dance then with Cangelosi Dance Project. As a teen, Catherine was accepted into The Dance Theatre of Harlem School, and The Ailey School (the official school for The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre) where she spent a summer. Catherine has participated in the Urban Bush Women’s Summer Leadership Institute four times and the annual Bates Dance Festival as a Teacher Fellow. She has studied at the Martha Graham school as a part of the Teacher Training Program. She is excited about starting Yoga Certification this year with Balance Yoga and Wellness and currently performs and choreographs for KM Dance Project.
