BUKU Dance Krewe


B.U.K.U. Dance Krewe is a New Orleans based Hip Hop Choreography Company serving as a performance outlet for professional and nonprofessional adult dancers.  Born out of Dancing Grounds the group serves as DG's resident Hip Hop company is currently comprised of the studio’s staff, instructors, and students. Company members include Director and Founder Kristal “M2DaE” Jones, Jeremy Guyton, Justine Ades, Laura Stein, Leigh Harwood, Brieze Levy and Randall Rosenberg.  Committed to artistic expression, B.U.K.U.’s choreographers are influenced by a wide array of styles, including Hip Hop, Street Jazz and Contemporary. 

An acronym for ‘Be You(U), Know You(U)’, B.U.K.U. Dance Krewe embraces the unique creativity and movement that every dancer possesses and aims to encourage dancers to be authentically themselves  a part of a whole. B.U.K.U. is not your typical New Orleans dance krewe—we tell a one-of-a-kind story with each piece, hoping to inspire and uplift our audience.

B.U.K.U performance experience includes working with BUKU Music & Art Project, Art's Council's Luna Fete, and Private clients for flashmobs, commissioned performances, and instructional parties.
